AN ARTIST’S GUIDE TO NYC

Here is a quick read for all you lovers!

I chatted all things NYC up over on LAUNE, a blog by Emma McDonnell - New York City-based writer and international affairs expert.

It’s so easy to live a “normal” life in NYC and not experience all of the magic that is at our fingertips. For this reason, I’m passionate about interjecting romance into my daily jaunts.

One way I do this is by favoriting great spots in Google Maps ahead of time so that when I’m running to a meeting or a salon - I see that a café or gallery I’ve been wanting to experience is right next door. New York actually works very well when injected in doses between real life.

I put together three separate groupings of my favorite spots, from art cafés to vintage shops to galleries. If you’re looking to add a little color to your NYC days, go read my interview to discover a few new gems - curated through the eyes of an artist.

Quite simply, I was in love with New York. I do not mean “love” in any colloquial way, I mean that I was in love with the city, the way you love the first person who ever touches you and you never love anyone quite that way again.
