introducing: Modern Romance, Monthly.

Bring Back Romanticism 💌

Originally Shared August 4, 2023

How did we get more than halfway through 2023?

How has time flown and I am I one and a half years into life as an official freelance artist and stylist in NYC?

One things we New Yorkers love as a way to mark the time and find colorful break in our continuous inboxes is ye oldé newsletter.

So here is my own — Modern Romance Monthly — a love letter to mark each month:

Digitally scrawled to give permanence to life’s inspirations and victories which can often feel so fleeting.

Colorfully stickered by documentation of my own creating, thinking, shopping, collaborating, living, and loving.

Postmarked with a return address (xobexstudio@gmail.com) to invite response.

I’ve been lucky to position myself to encounter and pursue daily beauty in the way an artist does. I never want to forget what’s been impactful to me.

Here’s my scrapbook page of what I’ve been up to this past month:

You should know — I don’t have plans to blow up your inbox. I plan to send out one email each month (though perhaps something special sent here and there too.)

If Modern Romance, Monthly is in your inbox, I want to get to know you better! My inbox wants to hear back from you.

Please let me know what YOU’RE loving and what you’d love to see from me. This could be my art process, event prep, illustration tips, my own story, seasonal outfit ideas, tips to build a capsule wardrobe … anything!

Sealed with an XO - a call to respond and build relationship.

xo, Bex

PS — I’m also currently accepting live sketching bookings and commissioned pieces for NYFW, fall, and holiday season. Please drop me a line if you’re interested.
